A Day in the Life

Homeschooling and Medieval Living

From the Daily Compass:

There are all kinds of solidarity: people join together in protest, in work, in response to crisis, and we pull together to make a difference. But it wouldn’t hurt to join up with others just for a little frivolous fun, either.

Who will you invite to join you in a bit of unjustified frivolity?

I usually have the most fun with my kids. I love it when I can take one with me to work. It makes work so much more tolerable. When my husband goes, we talk about things that are more serious or we don’t talk at all. He either sleeps or plays on his phone. My son will play games with me and let me be a child again. I just can’t do that with Erin. I am too embarrassed to even ask. But, my kids love to play. I really need to play more. I tend to take life way too seriously. It is hard to have fun when I am up to my neck in problems and things that need dealt with. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to have fun.
